I think I'm finally getting this being cheap thing. I managed to pamper the hell out of myself today for very cheap. I went tanning, bought a bunch of pretty clothes, and did my grocery shopping for under sixty dollars. I ever splurged on some strawberries. I love them, it's like candy and I can eat tons of them without gaining weight.
When I got home I cleaned up the place and ate strawberries in a scented bath while listening to Fiona Apple. Very nice. This rivals my scotch and dark chocolate while watching "Sex and the City" in terms of decadence. Yay!
I got the new clothes from my new favorite store. It's called Rags to Riches and it's in the 10th Street shopping center. One third of the store is costumes, one third is used clothing, and the other third is tanning for three bucks, which is about the cheapest that you'll find in Bton. The best part of the shopping experience for me, however was when I tried on a size five and fit into it! I don't think I've EVER fit into a size five since I started wearing adult sizes. Yay! I was a little disapointed to find that I couldn't fit into any of the dresses though. I should rephrase that. I fit into them just fine, it's just that they were too short for me. Empire waists don't look right when they hit you above the boobs. Oh well.
Tonight, I'm off to a party at J. Lo.'s. which should be a blast because it's out in the country, which means we can get rowdy. I'm excited. Plus, Mike is back in town, so we will probably nerd it up in the near future. On Sunday, Shane and I are planning to see "Willy Wonka," which should also be fun.
My parents and I went to Bombay House last night. Yum! Then we went to Borders, and Mom bought me a couple of books, most notably "American Psycho" (Man, it bugs the shit out of me that you can't use underlines in livejournal. Fucking English major!), which I have been trying to get through the IU library system, but, like most of Hunter Thompson's works, it's been lost, and there isn't a single copy within the entire University system. Bastards!
This summer has given me a lot of time to catch up on my reading, which is great because I don't get to do a lot of it during the school year. Well, that's not true. I do tons of reading, but it's all homework related. This stuff is purely recreational.
Ah. Life is good.
